The Saddleridge Fire began Thursday night near Sylmar and grew by thousands of acres overnight.
The outages, aimed at reducing the risk of fires during strong winds, will last up to a week for some customers. "This is going to take a few days", Terrazas said during a Friday morning news briefing, adding that the fire was still zero per cent contained. The officials did not provide details about those cases.
