South Korean singer and actor Sulli found dead

Sulli, whose legal name is Choi Jin-ri, started her career as a child star in 2005 before making her singing debut with the girl group f (x) in 2009.

Police told the BBC the singer's manager found her dead at her home near Seoul, South Korea. The police without elaborating much also said that Sulli was grappling with severe depression and they are investigating her death while also keeping an assumption that she may have taken her own life.‎.

The young star was discovered at her home in Seongnam of Gyeonggi Province on Monday by her manager, having spoken to her the night before but still being unable to reach her today. Police said they found a note but haven't yet "analyzed its contents", CNN reported.

The K-pop star Sulli has died aged 25. She left the group in 2015 to focus on acting. However, the online abuse did not cease after Sulli addressed the criticisms against her.
