Per IDC, Xiaomi now occupies the second position in the global wearable market with a 12.6% share, with most of its growth fueled by fitness trackers such as its Mi Band 3. We also get a clear look at the crown, the side/power button, the microphones (primary and noise-canceling), and the slit for the speaker.

Xiaomi isn't entirely new to the wearables space, considering it has used its sibling company Amazfit to produce smartwatches, but it may soon introduce a new piece of smart wristwear under the main "Xiaomi" brand name.

IPhone 5 users risk losing internet access
The iPhone 5 launched in September 2012, and received two million pre-orders in the first 24 hours of launch, according to Apple. The GPS rollover issue is also set to disable cellular iPad models up to the 4th generation iPad.

As for what it's going to be called, "Mi Watch" seems most likely seeing as that term is present in the WearOS 2.28 code.

According to images shared on Weibo, the Mi Watch will come in a very Apple Watch-like design, although it looks to be more boxy on the sides (hopefully there'll be a bigger battery here).

Speaking of features and connectivity, Mijia which is the Xiaomi subsidiary making the Mi Watch, has revealed some key aspects in a separate Weibo post. The similarities have flowed from the top of the company on down, with Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun himself unabashedly dressing in jeans and a black shirt a la Steve Jobs, and at least one Xiaomi presentation has even concluded with an announcement of "One More Thing ..." along the lines of Apple's famous tease. The Mi Watch will also support NFC as well as Global Positioning System. In the promo image showing the internals, we can see that the watch will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor. Xiaomi is expected to announce the Mi Watch at its press event next week in China.

As of now, no other details including the price, availability and the launch date are available.
