Chaos ensues as gunshots are fired at high school football game

Atlantic County officials said the shots rang out during the third quarter of the game between Pleasantville High School and Camden High School.

The alleged shooter, 31-year-old Alvin Wyatt, was charged by prosecutors with three counts of attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful goal. They've been identified as 27-year-old Michael Mack, 28-year-old Tyrell Dorn, 27-year-old Shahid Dixon, and 26-year-old Vance Golden.

"It was mayhem, literally people coming in waves running away" said Jonathan Diego, who played for the Pleasantville team in 1984.

Gov. Phil Murphy said Friday night was "a stark reminder that no community is immune from gun violence". "I am grateful for the lifesaving swift actions of first responders to tend to the wounded, and our prayers are with the victims for a swift and full recovery".
