Brown is reportedly expected to miss the remainder of the 2019 campaign.

With New England's offense having struggled again in Sunday's win over the Philadelphia Eagles and Brady clearly frustrated, there has been speculation that the quarterback could be trying to show the Patriots he wants to bring Brown back.

On Thursday, there was a report that suggested the Patriots had "kicked the tires" on a reunion with Antonio Brown with internal discussions about the Pro Bowler.

As insane as it seemed, talk of a potential reunion between Brown and the Patriots picked up slight steam following Brown's public apology to Patriots owner Robert Kraft on Instagram, with one report suggesting that the Patriots had "kicked tires" on bringing Brown back to Foxborough pending his status with the National Football League.

"The day is not over and you never know what testimony of one person may lead to the need for testimony of another", Pelosi said. She added that it is up to the House committees involved in the inquiry to decide whether additional testimony is needed.

Two sources with knowledge of the Patriots thinking scoffed at the idea Antonio Brown would rejoin the Patriots this season.

According to Curran, an issue from the Patriots" perspective was that they weren't informed of the fact that Brown was close to being sued despite the "legal wrangling' that went on between the attorneys of both sides.

"If you guys follow the Patriots, tell them to call me", Brown said in an Instagram Live video in October. A social media apology was certainly not enough to change that.

Curran added that the Patriots are more concerned about "something else cropping up down the road" with Brown.

The 42-year-old hasn't missed any time this year, starting all 10 of New England's games in the first part of the season. He's since expressed interest in returning to the league, and ProFootball Talk's Mike Florio reported that Brown is optimistic he'll be cleared to do so before the end of this season.
