A jury convicted US President Donald Trump's longtime adviser Roger Stone on Friday on all charges, finding the long-time Republican operative and self-proclaimed "dirty trickster" guilty on seven criminal counts of lying to Congress, obstruction and witness tampering.
A 12-member jury, comprising nine women and three men, began their deliberations Thursday morning on the seventh day of Stone's trial began in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C.
The charges stemmed from special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into whether the president's campaign colluded with Russian Federation during the 2016 election.
Prosecutors said that Stone lied during his September 2017 testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Stone has the ability to appeal the case and has already asked for a pardon from President Trump. Stone was regarded as an "access point" to WikiLeaks and frequently boasted of having insider access to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Meteorologists say the object appears to have completely burned up in the atmosphere before reaching the ground. The National Weather Service could not confirm if the meteor touched down or if it burnt up in the atmosphere.
"The defense also insisted that Stone did not falsely deny having records related to the House investigation, because the investigation was about Russian Federation, not WikiLeaks", the report stated.
Mr. Stone is the latest Trump campaign figure to face prison.

Stone had also tipped off the Trump campaign about new batches of damaging emails. But Judge Amy Berman Jackson rejected that request and said Stone will be subject to same conditions he faced following his arrest, including the gag order.
And speaking of the Republican president, Trump responded to Stone's conviction in a decidedly Trumpian way. Stone later identified that intermediary as Credico who in fact had texted Stone on October 1 on his way back from London "big news Wednesday..."
During the trial, prosecutors revealed several phone calls placed between Trump and Stone, including a July 2016 conversation in which Gates testified that Trump and Stone spoke about the planned release of hacked Democratic emails. Credico was recruited to serve as a kind of buffer between Stone and WikiLeads should these talks fall under scrutiny, they said.
Messages between the two included references to Frank Pentangeli, the "Godfather" character who experiences a memory lapse when he appears before the US Senate to finger the mob.
Lawyers for Mr. Stone said it was the committee who mislead him, not the other way around.

Stone also threatened Credico's therapy dog, Bianca, saying he was "going to take that dog away from you", the trial heard.
