NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg rejected Wednesday French criticism that the military alliance is suffering from brain death, and insisted that the organization is adapting to modern challenges.

But he described Boris Johnson as "very capable" and said he would meet the Prime Minister during his visit to the UK.

Mr Trump will touch down in the United Kingdom on Monday ahead of a two-day summit of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation leaders. "Never even thought about it, honestly".

He added: "I have many meetings".

Trump also reaffirmed his support for Brexit - the central objective of Johnson's election campaign, and denied that the USA was interested in gaining access to Britain's National Health Service (NHS) in a future trade deal.

He denied that the USA meant to include Britain's state-funded health service in negotiations on a future trade deal with Britain.

Ms Swinson claims that leaked documents from UK-US trade talks show American officials are pushing for Britain to allow greater use of chemicals in food production.

Mr Johnson hopes the election will increase the number of Conservative MPs, making his Brexit plans easier to achieve.

The trade dispute between the world's two biggest economies has weakened the global economy and held back oil demand growth. The alternative, of course, is to raise production and steal market share from fellow OPEC members.

Johnson's Conservative Party has committed to implementing a digital service tax on the revenue of companies such as Google, Facebook and Amazon in its blueprint for government if it wins this month's national election.

"These documents represent secret talks between the Tory Government and the American administration to sell off our public services to American corporations".

"So I think this is just such nonsense".
