West Ham United appoint David Moyes for second time

Former Preston North End boss David Moyes has been appointed West Ham United manager for the second time. I've missed being here.

David Moyes began his second spell in charge of West Ham with a thumping 4-0 win over Bournemouth.

Moyes return has not been universally welcomed by West Ham fans but he said he was the right fit for the job.

Much-maligned in recent years, Moyes, who has shared some of what went on at his subsequent club with Nevin, was misled by Manchester United, according to the former Scottish winger.

The defeat left West Ham fourth from bottom, just one point above the relegation places, after a terrible run of form that has included just two wins since September.

"This time I'm going to make it so there's no choice but to renew".

The new West Ham manager said: 'I'd been asking him if he's a Brazilian.

"What I do believe is that we have got a stronger and better squad now than when I first came in".

"No, because things were done correctly - I wasn't taken on and I was told that", he said on Monday at a press conference ahead of Wednesday's home game with fellow strugglers Bournemouth.

The Hammers have been thinking about making the change for a number of weeks, and they have now turned to Moyes - who was axed in 2018, to be replaced by Pellegrini - having also considered Tony Pulis and Chris Hughton.

The S&P 500 rose for a fourth straight week, gaining 1.7 percent for the week, its biggest weekly gain since early September. The U.S. central bank has provided markets with much needed liquidity following three consecutive rate cuts through October.

Moyes said: "I think that how well Sheffield United are doing with what probably, with respect, looked like the team which has come up from the Championship, has proved that there might be many players who can step up".

"It's the results that are important now, and I think David will get results". Neither player has scored more PL goals against a single opponent than they have versus West Ham.

"So, we never got to see what he'd actually do there". If Moyes was the answer, and then Manuel Pellegrini, and then Moyes again after him, then what on earth was the question?Moyes has signed an 18-month contract.

Yes, it certainly feels like the season of ghosts of Christmas past, a campaign that has seen José Mourinho rear his head once again at Tottenham Hotspur, Carlo Ancelotti returning to England after seven years, and Watford hiring old flame Quique Sánchez Flores, albeit ill-fated. If we're being truthful, we need those players to stand up.
