Leaked video shows off Samsung Galaxy Z Flip in action

Feast your eyes, folks. There wasn't any explainer text with the video other than it is of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and claimed to be the first ever video of this device in action.

The 19-second clip was posted to Twitter by Yunis Ali and quickly reposted by Ben Geskin.

As images have shown previously, the video appears to confirm that this device is a folding clamshell smartphone, with one primary touchscreen which folds shut.

Similar to the Galaxy Fold, the Galaxy Z Flip uses a side-mounted fingerprint reader. The bezels around the screen are not the smallest, but still quite impressive considering this is a foldable device.

As a result, Facebook is going to try set the record straight on the company's principles -regardless if people like them or not. This week's announcement sees the company rolling these tools out globally. "And they will be more impactful as we move forward".

Update: January 29, 2020 (12:20 PM ET): The article below has been updated with the recently leaked Samsung Galaxy S20 series official press renders, pricing information, and possible release dates. The Z Flip has a 12MP+12MP dual-camera setup on the outside and a 10MP autofocus selfie camera on the inside. Initially we see the device closed with the status display off and twin camera /flash array towards the bottom edge of the phone, pointing towards us. While most reviewers and users said the Galaxy Fold's crease isn't a nuisance, the issue does impact the perceived quality of the screen.

We don't know much more about the new Samsung Galaxy Z phone just yet, but there isn't long to wait until the lid is lifted on the manufacturer's second stab at a foldable camera phone.
